Why I’m running for Republican State Committee

1. We need a leader to advocate for our Republican Candidates at the MassGOP. 

The MassGOP needs to do a better job supporting our candidates in terms of money and resources. Now that Amy Carnevale is our chair, I am confident this will happen. If I am elected to the State Committee, I will advocate on behalf our candidates to ensure that they have the financial resources and support that is critical for them to be successful.  

The district has lost two notable State Representative seats in the last few election cycles. The Brad Hill open seat was lost to a progressive Democrat. This seat was held in Republican hands since the mid-1800s. Most recently State Representative Lenny Mirra lost his seat to a Democrat by 1 vote. I believe that we could have won those two seats if the MassGOP provided financial resources and better support and if our elected State Committee worked more efficiently with their city and town committees.  

            2. We need a leader who is capable of motivating and coordinating with the City and Town Committees to get them more involved in the process of electing Republican candidates. 

One of the responsibilities of a State Committee is to work with the Chairs of the City and Town Committees during the election season. The chairs and the elected State Committeeman and woman need to motivate and ask the members of the committees to participate in the process of electing Republican Candidates. There are several ways committee members can help a candidate get elected:

Door Knocking, Literature Drops, Phone Banking and Standouts are examples.  

The members of the Republican City and Town Committees are essentially the grassroots for a political campaign. For a candidate to be successful it is important that our city and town committee members become more involved. I believe that I have the experience and determination to get our city and town committee members excited in helping elect our Republican candidates.
